GoldBear Media started in February of 2020 when Kelly decided she was going to pick up some freelance work to help with some medical bills that had accumulated while Shawn, her husband and now business partner, had to have emergency back surgery and spent 2019 recovering from a spinal abscess that almost left him temporarily paralyzed.

“It was a really scary time for our family. I had a full time job and just wanted to alleviate some of the pressure now that he was back to work. When the pandemic hit, the need for digital marketing services exploded, and before the end of 2020, we were doing enough work that I was looking for other freelancers to help me keep up.” (-Kelly Sundsvold)
